I personally like to see more branch and trunk, but can't deny the great nebari and trunks. Well ramified!

I forgot to mention that all the Burtt-davyi figs are all less than 10' high. and I usually do not thin out these tress until spring when they have begun to bud. On the other hand Ficus Natalensis is more robust and will tolerate much more. Below is one of my shohin figs of this variety. It has regularly been leaf pruned. Although it is more work I prefer these with much less foliage.

Very nice trees, but I find most of the pots to be much too deep -- especially the first two and one of the last ones.

The pots are oversized. When I exhibit the trees I usually transplant them into smaller pots. For the rest of the year I keep my shohin in oversized pots. I can still enjoy them in my home and need not worry about the health of the trees. Thanks for your comment .and to you and the others thanks for the kind words. Hank
