Goodnight Paul Goff
I'm reposting Dan Barton's facebook status here as a great number of us will know and love Paul Goff's work in British Bonsai.
"It is with the deepest sadness that we have just learned of the sad and untimely death of Paul Goff. Our heartfelt sympathy is with Vivienne and all of Paul's family and friends. Paul's demise will leave a massive gap in British Bonsai. He gave us all so much through his Bonsai Review magazine and his inspired scrolls. One of British Bonsai's "Great Characters". May you rest forever in peace Paul."
I would like to echo all of Dan's sentiments and extend the condolences of everyone here at the Intenet Bonsai Club to Paul's family and friends.

Re: Goodnight Paul Goff
As someone has already posted elsewhere, the one thing about Paul that will be missed most - even beyond his contribution to bonsai in the Uk - is the simple fact that above all else he was a darn nice guy.
When I first got interested in the display side of bonsai, I popped over to meet Paul for the first time for what I thought would be a couple of hours spent looking at scrolls. Eight hours (and a similar number of cups of coffee) later I set back off home again armed with an array of scrolls every one of them carefully selected after much discussion. I could easily and happily have passed another eight hours there such was Paul's depth of knowledge and sheer affability. A day to remember and cherish indeed.
