jittas for small kusamono

Made the two tiny jittas for display a couple of days ago.
The wood is very a old branch I found in Kenya, some years ago.
The the one in the front is only 1.5 cm thick.

Was curious if you created a different color for each side of the jitta, so you could choose direction and contrast. I like the idea that because of where they were found, they would have special meaning to you. thanks for posting....

Between Nairobi and Masai Mara, was it time for a short break....I found the wood in the sand in next to me.

It was a good question and idea.
But the piece of wood was so thin, I could not realy polish the wood to perfection on both sides...so both have a nice backside....I made sure they was not in the same direction
