Shohin White Pine an Amazing Recovery

I bought this little white pine in 2012 and planted  it in the pot you can see in the first picture

I went for a short vacation and asked my son to water my trees while I was away, which he did, but this one was missed.
When I returned home this is what it looked like

I thought it was dead for sure but remarkably it recovered
This is the tree today

Not only did he not water it, but he repotted it too!!    Kids huh!!!

I should have said this is the abridged version of the story. I left out the photographs which show the tears and my desperate efforts to save it
