Rookie garden center Juniper Bonsai

I want to get into Bonsai. Watched some utube vids and searched the web a bit. Seems the best is to collect old trees from the wild. I collected like 5 maples, an Elm and a Tamarck that I replanted in my backyard in hopes of future bonsai material. But for the immediate gratification I spent $30 at the garden center today and tried to make a Juniper Bonsai.

Good start! It would be nice to see the whole tree in the picture though!

That looks like a pot that would not have a hole in the bottom... Did you have to drill one?

It's got 1 pretty big hole that I put some mesh over...Here are two other tree i have potted. Norway Spruce and Mugo Pine
And here is one of the maples I dug up. Looks like the main trunk broke off and it sprouted a second one.
