watering caution during summer
many of us use a garden hose with wand spray attachent to water ou trees through-out the day. If the hose sits out in the sun, the water therein becomes super heated and can actually do damage to the trees if your unknowingly turn the hose on and immediately begin watering. caution.....run the water off some place safe for about 15 seconds and then stick you hand in the spray to insure it is cool and safe to use on our trees.

I always test the water with my hand first. You're right the heat can be significant and damaging.
