World Bonsai Day - 10th May 2014

IBA&CB (International Bonsai Art & Culture Biennale) will be celebrating the forth annual World Bonsai Day (10 May 2014) in Yogyakarta, Central Java of Indonesia, the ancient cultural city where the http://www.internationalbonsaibiennale.com/ will be held.

The theme : "Healthy Day with Thousand Bikes & Trees".
Thousands bikes will go parade along the Malioboro venue of Yogyakarta city and each participant will be given a nursery stock at the finish line that can be done into bonsai or simply planted as tree for the green movement. We will also conduct the bonsai exhibition and workshop.
Sponsors will provide lucky draw for motor cycle and dozens of electronic appliances...

This is also in concert with 2014 - Indonesian Bonsai Year...

World Bonsai Day was initiated by the World Bonsai Friendship Federation (WBFF). This event is to honor the memory of Mr. Saburo Kato, the world bonsai patron and founder of WBFF, who believed that bonsai has the power to unite people by acting as a bridge to international friendship and peace. World Bonsai Day is celebrated annually on the second Saturday of May.
