Common Hawaiian Ironwood, Australian Pine, Casuarina equisetifolia harvested from the wild (2/21/14)

Here are some pictures of a Casurina that I harvested from the wild this past weekend (2/21) on the Big Island of Hawaii.
I had a few question about directions to take this tree.

- What do you estimate the age of this tree?
- How much sunlight does this tree need.
- When is the ideal time to prune and do additonal wiring?
- How long should I leave on the current wiring?
- Do you reccomend a larger pot? (current pot = 8 x 7 x 2.5)
- Any additional tips or comments would also be greatly appreciated.
