Dan Butler at the dragons den

Great day today at the weekly Dragon workshop. Dan Butler presented a dedicated bonsai pottery day, Dan outlined and showed how to go about building pots using slip molds, slab building, coiling and pinch pots.

So the morning session was with Dan explaining all about the ways of potting, then after lunch it was our turn to make pinch pots!!!

Dan had some pots for sale, Gary snapped this one up pretty swift

Did you guys have to put the pots you created in a kiln afterwards? Thats always been what has stopped me giving it a go, I can get everything I need, except the kiln

Hi Jason, the pots will have to dry out and then Dan will glaze and fire them for us
