Dragons den Sunday 18 8 13
Well after rain all day yesterday today was sunny and warm, and there was a good turn out for the workshop and some great trees to drool over.
Andy spent trhe day at the Crawley show last Saturday and bought this stunning little Sabina juniper, the only thing was it was down for a demo by John Armitage on the Sunday so I brought it back for him at the end of the weekend
Another one of Andy's, this is a chuhin size juniper
Chris Bray and his Blue Cedar; its getting better and better!!!!!!
And after a little tidy up and the tree looks good as well
Regards Chris

You people seem to go in exclusively for conifers. Any particular reason?

you'll find many meetings are themed iris, (this one may or may not have had a conifer theme ?) - plus in a practical hands on day there isn't much to do in late august on deciduous trees apart from look at them.bonsaisr wrote:You people seem to go in exclusively for conifers. If you follow the other Dragon threads you will see plenty of hawthorn, acer and broadleaf trees being worked on in the relevant months

You are correct Marcus, we had planned to bring along mainly white pines for a progress check and discussion on the way forward. It will soon be time to think about thinning and wiring.
Paul S - I don't drink tea! (you want to see me when I am not doing bonsai!)
