That's an awesome tree, but I can't take my eyes off of that moss! It looks perfectly spread and is honestly the best moss job (?) I've ever seen.

Well, that's pretty much what it is right now. The branches need shortened, lowered and have movement added. The trunk has not much taper which carving will help address. Up to now reducing the tree down to it's present size and attacking the trunk have been the major work. I stopped here to let the tree recover. Here is the tree after collection.

You have to kind of go off road down into the bogs where few things but Larch can survive. Larch do not like competition, at least the Laricena does not.

Unfortunately, bogs around here offer little in the way of collectible material. Drainage ditches, on the other hand offer up a cornucopia of materiel between snow being piled up on them and the mowing, I've found some excellent trees.
