The Oyakata gave me this pine for wiring.
With his faithful love for been in a hurry , I didn´t have time to take a photo before.
This is half way,the lower branches are wired.
Detail of the base.
Final result.

Preparing trees for Gafu-Ten Part 1
Today the Oyakata has given me this Ibota (Ligustrum obtusifolium) to be prepare for next week Gafu-Ten .
The roots grow up over the edge of the pot.
Once out of the pot.
The election a new Koyo pot.
In its new pot.
And once I put the moss.

Thank you for posting. I love what you have done with the two upright bonsai. For myself, I would have transplanted the cascade to the new pot, and then lived with it for a year before removing such wonderfully old, well developed branches. Good, old cascades are few and far between. The new image of the cascade looks more youthful than the original. But this is my personal taste, I respect the skill and fine quality of the work you are doing. Very likely if I saw the trees in real life, I would have a different thought.

Thank you for your reply Leo, I don´t normally take this kind of decisions. My master and owner of the trees is who says wath he wants.
The branch we cut, yes they were old, but not nice or usefull, in this case if you want to improve the tree it is better to cut.
A short video of the Partner tree for the kuromatsu.
The full entry as always on my bog.
