tropical trees
I still have a ficus and olive tree left !! both of them have lost all their leaves now being inside. question is,, is there something i can put on the limbs,,trunks to keep them soft and not let them dry out.??? hopeing for new buds come spring... thanks take care john

The Ficus will put on new buds now, if you haven't killed it. Not sure about the Olive, but I suspect it will behave similarly. You may want to check your soil with a chopstick or something and cut back on watering for either of these trees. Without any leaves, they will not be taking up nearly as much water. Mist spraying the Ficus once or twice a day will help it to bud back faster. Misting may also work out good for the Olive, but beware and watch out for the development of any fungus growth on that one.
Hopefully you will continue to keep both of these trees indoors, under pretty strong lighting and with good air movement?

John,
want to borrow a photographers light metre and see how many lux/candle light you are able to supply the trees with and for how long?
I have never had my olive drop it's leaves.

Thank you Khaimraj,, for your post. I have not had a good year with trees at all.. i was just thinking if i could keep them from drying out maybe they will bud back.. my other trees are in a green house and i think are ok.. take care john
