Preparing Azaleas for winter
My three azaleas are looking very nice, but as we get closer to the first frost, I'm getting a tad concerned. Last night I pulled them out from their table and under the patio roof. In doing so, they missed this morning's rain. Any advice would be helpful on how to prepar these for the cold frame.

Carefully remove all yellow or red leaves from the rosettes at the end and from soil surface. Thin all extension growths down to the two most appropriately placed from each rosette. Trim any of the remaining long growths back to two leaves. Thin flower buds (tiny little pointy ones) if vegetative growth is your aim, especially if full flowering was allowed last year.
Keep them barely damp from now on as they should be just ticking over.

Thanks, Kev, I'll jump on these tonight when I get home.
