Weird white bugs in my soil!
Hi guys,
I just got a bonsai tree but I'm not sure what species as i got it as a present. I noticed that there are quite a few little white-ish, silver bug running around on the soil and the bottom of the trunk. they are only around 1.5mm in length. Any ideas on how to deal with them or what they even are?
Thanks

Re: Weird white bugs in my soil!
I tried getting a photo of them yesterday but they were too small for my camera to focus on but i've looked today and can't find any of them :/ so they may have invaded my house. But i'm living in Cardiff, Wales in the UK.

White Bugs
They are probably psocids. Google on the word to check. They eat dead stuff and will probably not harm your plant, but they indicate soggy soil. Let it dry out more between waterings. It is important to find out what kind of a tree you have so you know where to keep it in the winter. To start, ask the nearest garden centre.
Give us a closeup of some leaves.
