Korean hornbeam fall color

This 14-inch Carpinus coreana is showing a nice touch of fall color this year. This is one of my older trees. It was given to me by a friend in the Tallahassee Bonsai Society in 1986 as a skinny sapling. I've shown its progression before.

Looks great this year Jim. Seems early for fall color like that for your area doesn't it? Mine have yet to start, and it's going to freeze here starting tomorrow...

Thanks. No. The color is vivid in the mountains just above us. This is the normal time.

Pear is starting to turn also.
