Hello everyone,

I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on this yamadori. Any suggestions or thoughts about it are welcome. Also how are honeysuckle as bonsai? i was thinking about copping it at the red line, but im worried about the scar being to great, should i just leave it at he height it is?

anyways any discussion is appreciated.

I would just leave it for now. Let it grow for a while

Hi David
I really like your stump honeysuckle, my advice to you is the same to leave alone for now but the red line is a good idea for the future. I think you would have to make a feature of the scar till it calloused over which would yake a few years
but i have seen one bonsai like this and it was an impressive tree and i have to say you have the potential material there to better the one i remember.

Try to find out which species you have. Have you seen it in bloom? Was it collected near where you live? If you Google you will find the Europeans have some interesting specimens.
