Potentilla Cinquefoil Deadwood
I'm looking for a bit of input on how best to work the deadwood of a potentilla cinquefoil. I've cleaned up the easy to reach places a bit using a wire brush and will continue to work on it once I can make a little more time. I then plan to apply dilute lime sulfur to help preserve. The base is proving a bit more difficult due to rot. I've already had to remove a fair amount of deadwood that I had initially hoped to incorporate into the design. Suggestions are welcome.
I'm working towards a literati style, at least for now. Will repot in spring.

Smithy, hopefully you see this as I've seen your Potentilla and would welcome any pointers you'd be willing to divulge.
