European Euonymus

I may acquire this European Euonymus (picture from last fall).  Any suggestion on possible future looks do-able for this tree?  Perhaps curving the upper trunk back towards the base, or instead curving the trunk away from the base, as in an S-shape?

I would imagine curving the upper trunk would be difficult considering the thickness. I think it would make a nice informal upright once the branching and foliage were developed, but I'm a bit biased toward that for deciduous trees.
