Wrightia religiosa propagation
I know there are some experts on this plant here. My question is how difficult are these to propagate? Is there a technique that works best for you?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have three and have been tempted to try. If I did I would treat them like Ficus.

I know they are easy propagated by air layer. Maybe cuttings would work too

Wrightia religiosa
A warning about this species. It is allelopathic like black walnut. Don't put it in a group planting. It will kill the trees next to it. At least this was my experience.

Hello Mrs. Iris!
Do you mean group planting of different species? If only Wrightias are used in a group planting?bonsaisr wrote:... ...It is allelopathic... ...Don't put it in a group planting. It will kill the trees next to it... ...

Root cuttings should work too. Haven't done it intentionally, but whenever I snip roots and leave them in the ground, they invariably send up shoots.
