Help to ID my tree and what to do next.
Hi Everyone,
I was bought this bonsai last year for Fathers day by my son and it came with a generic leaflet for bonsai trees which gave no indication of the type of tree it was. I would like to know the type of tree it is and how best to approach pruning to get the best out of the tree. For the length of time I have been looking after it, it has been on a living room window sill that faces east. If you wouldn't mind having a look I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Boxwood -- and it should be outdoors!
The top needs some thinning and (eventually wiring).
We've had a number of good boxwood threads here recently. If you go to our Home page and to use the search function there, you can find the various threads.
