Las Vegas visit
I find I'm going to have a couple of days to kill in Las Vegas next month while my wife is at a meeting.
I don't gamble, can only drink so much, can't do much physical stuff anymore, don't shop unless I KNOW what I want, and have little interest in lavish floor shows -- at least without Jackie. Anyone have any suggestions?

My personal idea of Hell, Jim! I know I would just high tail it out into the deserts and search for rocks!
Hope the folks on here can come up with something more productive for you.

There are some famous brothels nearby, I think they will even pick you up.
There are also a couple of great shooting ranges in Vegas.

Right on the mark, Kev. Unfortunately, I've been there before.
Gee, thanks Billy. Jackie thinks that's a great idea! NOT. And from what I read, there's no need for shooting ranges in Las Vegas, there's been a bit of shooting right on the street lately, and the body count is climbing.
Anyone else?

Vegas, once the home of vast, yucky free casino buffets, has sprouted a huge variety of excellent restaurants in the last 10-15 years. They are everywhere (and not necessarily all that expensive if you look around). Get a restaurant guide and have at it...
Also last time I was there, I saw Penn and Teller (yeah, it's lame, but it's pretty entertaining without all the glitter and strippers in other Vegas shows.)

We went on a tour of Hoover Dam a few years ago. It is about 45-60 minute drive. We did the "VIP" tour which let us walk through the inspection passageways within the dam itself. We had a rental car and it was an easy drive, but I am sure there are many tour options that leave from the hotels.
Also, there are several Cirque de Soleil shows. Probably our favorite is "O".

Thanks. I plan on taking a tour of the dam. I did it once when I was a very young boy and remember being very impressed. Since then, I've crossed the river near the dam several times and, old as it is, it is still dam impressive. <g> We have tickets to a Cirque de Soleil show and a Blue Man show. It's the days that I have to kill time in.
Main problem these days is somewhat limited stamina and mobility.
