my last photos from Japan, of stones, and sand used in displays
This is from The Ginkaku Ji, the Silver temple in Kyoto....The garden is a wonderfull display with sand and stones, and on the hill is moss
This cone is between 130 and 150 cm tall
And in the end, a display from a window....a painting lying dawn, with "sand" in a corner...a real suiseki, plastickfigurines, and spraysnow is added. Not really my taste, but may interest some of you.
Kind regards Yvonne

Thank you Yvonne,
It is a pleasure to dwell trough those mature gardens,
made possible to your pictures.
I forgot how they made that cone, do you know how it is made and cared for?

Hi Sunip
I dont know what kind of tooles they use, to make theese sandforms, I am just VERY impressed....I would like to know too...and also would I like to know, what the shapes represent.

Hello Yvonne,
What ever you see in it.
This sand mount is called the Moon viewing platform others see the mount Fuji.
Moon or Mount, being both elevated places are for me nice metaphors for a center of meditation,
a metaphor for the inner source of Energy and Wisdom.
Technically (but this is a nice metaphor as well as the tempel stands for your own being) the white sand garden reflects like snow
or a waterpond, the light into the tempel rooms.
What was your impression?
