Re: creeping juniper
i like it...i also agree that the creeping juniper species is pretty much a pia to work with...but, every once in awhile, a person can make something out of nothing, and i think this turned out really nice...

I really like this. Bunjin is probably in my top 2 favorite styles. I don't think there is anything more beautiful in bonsai that a well done bunjin.. and this is a well done bunjin.

Mike,
Thanks! we lack juniper here in the tropics...I wish I could work more on a nicer variety.

Rob,
Thanks!
Me too, I love Literati, and as simple as it looks I find it more difficult to design.
I'll be posting a different kind of literati that I'm slowly working for years now.

John,
Thank you my friend! Maybe I'll just enhance the jin design and add more on the trunk. It kinda add more to the character of the otherwise young looking tree.
The tree materials I got last Christmas made it 100%, all of the 30 plus trees. They are all healthy and thriving...This species is one of the fastest recovering materials I had. and they shots up tiny flowers after two weeks. I'll post some update later of the other materials and some of the recovering pieces. You'll be surprise on the speed of growth.
