Doha-ishi from Tenerife
This beautiful piece I brought back from this holiday. Nice shape, color, surface, balance in all directions and excellent patina, which deserves a separate, detailed picture.
Dimensions approx 16x7x4 cm.Dai I made of cherry wood.
I hope that will delight your eyes as well.

Hi Milan... Nice stone! Are you willing to consider a suggestion for your next daiza with a similar stone? I appreciate that you carefully decided the presentation for this one.
For crafting the daiza, consider allowing the height of the wall to vary. Using wall height as well as close horizontal fitting of the daiza socket produces a tighter & appealingly meandering fit for most stones. It is most important for fitting a daiza below a stone foot which is running out gradually (as your stone does on its extreme-left side).
The viewer should not be able to see the inside of the daiza socket. A stone should be mounted so that the angle of entry into the daiza is approximately equal at the extreme left & right ends.
Arguably, consider these notes...

Hi Chris,
I'm aware of. I drew on paper dai, as it should properly look like before I start work and her appearance I did not like. I know that this is not entirely correct, but I decided to make dai now looks.
Do you like more. But maybe I will make one more dai and then compare ...
Many greetings Milan
