Power tool selection...brand loyalty?
I am a bit of a tool snob and love my "toys"
For me:
die grinder = Makita,
(gas) chainsaw = Stihl & Husqvarna
reciprocating saw = Milwaukee
jigsaw = Bosch
router = Porter Cable
angle grinder = Makita
orbital sander = Bosch
etc.
I don't mind using other brands when it is what I can afford but for same price, I think these companies have their niche. Maybe my current choice is wrong and may change. What I can't understand is the brand loyalty across the board. I see people using a single brand on everything which for me doesn't make sense.
How about you...brand loyal or selective like me?
OTOH...on electronics and home appliance (camcorder, still camera, vacuum, microwave, TV, etc.) I seem to be brand loyal to Panasonic.
