earthworm in bosai pot, good or bad?
hi to every one,
when i was watering my bosai i noticed that there's an earth worm on its pot. but i dint try to take it off of it as its just a little worm. and probably because i think that it might help with keeping the soil's aeration., which i'm not really sure. so the question is, is it good for bonsai or not?
john.

They're more or less neutral, but too many of them, and their castings can start to clog the pores between soil particles and affect your drainage.
Has the tree been sitting on the ground? Was it potted up from a nursery plant and with some nursery soil left in? Just trying to decide how the worm got there.
Maybe an early bird left it behind.

maybe it was from the nursery soil.. i just repoted it and kept most of the nursery soil. so should i take it of or just leave it alone?

Well, they don't make good pets. I'd just toss it out in the garden where it'll do some good.
