Re: My three newly acqired Satsuki
very nice. These look good.
I am new to bonsai so I am not ready to spend over 25$ on a tree yet by fear of killing it.
One day though I hope to own trees like these

Yes I'm also wondering on the size of these, especially the last two... The middle one is so very nice, if I might also ask where you acquired these from? They are lovely.

It will don't worry but I wonder how well you guys do with Azalea regarding the blooming in Texas weather.

To Gri Gri and Judy,
I bought from a friend and he told me that he got them from "Spider" (some of you may know Spider)
The one with roots over the rock measures 7.5" tall (from the rim of the pot to the top), the other is 10" tall. The Korin can be seen as chohin category.

Hi Xuan,
You sure love those azaleas! I don't think you have enough room on your kitchen table to show them in bloom... better send one of them to me in Central, Virginia. You da Azalea Man!

Thanks Todd, I will remodel my kitchen if needed instead of giving up my Azaleas.
BTW were you at the last PBA Spring show in May?

Re: My three newly acqired Satsuki
"Bonsai before kitchen I always say!" I was there for about 3 hours, then ran out of money. I enjoyed the show and bought a couple of pots and other supplies. I didn't see you but saw some pretty azaleas! I hope our club will display there next Spring. FYI, There's an exposed root azalea, Satsuki Azalea Exposed Root Style Bonsai Niss-yo-no Hikari w/pink flower for sale on ebay; $350 plus shipping ... too rich for my blood but an interesting looking tree.

I bought a locally (TX) grown azalea and it was full of flowers with intention of turning it into bonsai in a few years.
With this one, I do not know...honestly, I don't even know what type of azalea this is I'll hopefully find out in 18 months or so (granted it survives).

Dear Bac Xuan Le!
They are all really beautifull trees. I like the 2nd one very much bcs the root of the tree is really a part of the stone.
Thks and many luck for u and ur family!

Very nice trees. I esp. like the root flare on the third one.

Nice score! That yellow pot is perfect for your 'korin'. As for that third tree, terrible pot visually and horticulturally.

Thank you all for your nice comments
@ Russell,
I agree that the pot for the 3rd tree is too small for it, and for sure it needs a much wider container.
