Would you ever consider filling in some of that negative space? Maybe use muck to fill in the hole below the semi cascading trunk, and plant some accent stuff behind it? Try to create more of a landscape to try to integrate that trunk a little more into the composition?

I like this tree and the image it creates. Fantastic pot. I do not think it needs any negative space filled. It has a wide open feel to it. Looking at it make a feeling of being outside, in the open where there is a vista to see beyond the tree. Nice

Beautiful tree and matching up extremely well with Eric's pot, deserving so for the merit, congratulation. One question, why the organizer didn't give out Polish award instead of Taiwan? That is a head scratcher! Since when Taiwan becomes a standard for judging bonsai?

Hi,

Piotr Czerniachwoski with organize this exibition, cooperate with Seok-Kim, with bring such award to National Bonsai Exibition in Książ Castle.
The award is also increasing cooperation with European artists bonsai and bonsai promote not only exhibited in Japan.

In next year we will have similar Award on this Exibition, so feel free to expose your works Wink
