I would remove the stright trunk above the carved area and go with a smaller squat tree using the right hand side,wiring up a new leader and build the tree up from there.

Russell, that is a beutyful tree you have there,...where do you keep it so we can than pretend it is mine

Hi all, Thanks for the replies. I’m glade you like the tree so much Russell, I admire your work a great deal. As far as shortening the tree as “T” suggested goes, it just wouldn’t work as the second shorter trunk on the right is set to far back for it to look any good from all angles. I see how you are imagining it though. Thanks again all.
