Purple leaf plum cuttings.
Does anyone have any advice on propagating purple leaf plum trees. Is there a certain method when taking cuttings?

Re: Purple leaf plum cuttings.
If you take softwood cuttings 6" or less, you can dip the cut end in rooting hormone to improve your odds but they always root easy for me. I fill a plant pot with sand, placing the cuttings into the sand, and then cover with either a clear plastic tupperware or a clear bag out of direct sunlight. The bag will up the humidity and speed up rooting, and the sand will provide good drainage and help with root development. Make sure to keep the sand moist and do not let it dry out.

I prefer spring or summer, to allow the roots time to grow before fall
