Re: extreme hedge trimming
In the US a tree service trims trees to clear electric power lines. They just cut the trees clear of the line and leave. We have a lot of native pine near power lines that are very big sticks with no foliage. They will die, rot and fall over in the road. But, on a plus side we have Woodpeckers that will use them for nests. They came on my property and wanted to do this, I made them take out the whole tree.

Hello Andy,
I would never have thought about that way of trimming a hedge,
remarkable guys those Canadians.
Hello Billy,
That means you have a power line going over your property.
Cutting pines like that is indeed strange,
would it be cheaper?
Btw. that hedge is not my work, it was at the entrance of the Keraël estate
in south Finistère France and amazed me each time i passed.
Remarkable guys those Bretons.
