Once a month for the next 3 months we are having one Sunday dedicated to named species, today we started with Pines. We asked for as many trees as possible in all stages of development to be brought along
This way there would be plenty of stuff to talk about and work on.

Hi Chris and the Dragon boyz,
Looks like a great day of sharing knowledge and tips without ego's getting in the way.
Great idea a whole day just on pines. So much to share and discuss.
Wish I could have made it, Uni assessment prep getting in the way. pale

I think the day went well its all ways interesting to see how this type of event pans out as the day go's along how the agenda in my head changes with the feel of the questions etc.
I hope everyone felt they gleened something from it.

Hi Chris,
enjoyed the day, it was a good call to start these themed workshops.
Must thank the lads for pooling their individual knowledge regarding what works
for them. I was very interested in the diverse methods used, all very valid by
having the proof in front of us.
looking forward to the next one
regards

Looks like a great way to spend a day! Some very nice trees. I really like that little mugo...I've been looking at nursery stock but haven't seen anything that looked interesting (yet). Gonna have to keep looking. Any chance you have a close up photo of that tree?

Yes Chris, thanks for hosting this session. I really enjoyed our discussions, its surprising what gems of info you can pick up during a group discussion with a variety of trees on tap to look at.

Hi Bryan

Yes it was a good day and again the weather was kind to us

This North South thing needs to be looked at, may be we can put our heads together and come up with a plan, why not if we plan it in advance and put it in next years calender an exchange visit?

And there is the bootsale here second Sunday in September
