Here is a bowl type pot with a lovely green glaze. I also like this glaze with the clay body, a midrange buff stoneware.

Enjoy...Here's a few pots... - Page 12 2011-122

Hi Rob,

A very nice selection of finishes on this last batch of pots. I like the direction you are taking with your forms and with your glaze applications.

I particularly like the green pot. It has a very stylish and well balanced look to it. Great job!

I look forward to seeing you at JOB next month.

Regards,
Paul

Rob, can you describe the feet on the nice green one we like so much? I'm not so sure I'm seeing them very well.

Hi Sam,
I know we have since talked about the green pot that I am happily holding for you. I think that this pot will be quite a good fit for your tree.

Oh, and the pot in the middle is rather small, probably less than 4 inches across.

Thanks again for your support,
Rob

Paul,
Thanks again for your insight. As I know from the many discussions we have had in the past, combining pot form and glaze choice is always something that should be a primary objective for a conscientious potter.

Your friend,
Rob

Klaudia,
Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. I am looking into doing more with this form style of pot with this glaze.

Great to see you guys again here on the forum!

Cheers,

There, there Andy, shed not a tear...

This is actually a copper red glaze fired in a neutral atmosphere Wink I tested this in both ox/redux, and yes it does resemble a celadon glaze in its translucency and hue when fired in oxidation.

Still, I am very honored with your kind words.

As always, good to hear from you,
Rob

Well, I really have quite a lot of pots in this next round, and I would LOVE to hear from the IBC crowd.... Cool so here goes....

This is a medium sized traditional shaped oval. I have been doing lots of testing on this glaze lately, getting its makeup and application just right....

I have a new glaze (for me anyway) that I think would lend itself to a trident. It is quite sensitive to atmosphere (reduction), and I love it on a claybody with some iron in it...

And to finish off this latest trio of pots, true to form, I can't resist the opportunity to display some of my crazy expressionistic style....

This is a small (3-4 inches across) kusamono pot.
