JWP pre-bonsai

I'm new to JWP. Was wondering if I should pinch the top candle 1/3rd of its length or not?  I can't find a lot of information on the JWP ....thanks!!

I'm new to bonsai myself, but I'm reasonably sure one of the best answers will be something like: "it mostly depends what you want this tree to be."

Go to YouTube and do a search for "Trim Japanese White Pine" or "shaping Japanese white pine".
There are several videos.

Probably do want to pinch all the candles at least some, and maybe even trim some of the back needles.
(again, depending on what your plan for the tree is)

It's kind of young to really do anything now, let it grow,
