It is up to you ether way acceptable!, I like daiza for cut stones better!
Ether way it  is Ok, stones have been cut from the very start,
Korea, China and Japan were they work the bottoms so they appear natural.
Many of the most accent mountain stones were cut, fact! no matter what anyone says.
I personally like a thicker daiza for cut stones so not so obvious cut look to the viewer.

There are certain stones that dictate to me how they should be displayed. being polished it seems to indicate a location near water, where waves from ocean tides or river flow have affected it's distant shape over the centuries.
I think it favors suisban.

you can always do suiban if needed!
If you do suiban! you will not have,
a daiza when needed!...
