Hi Budi,
Are you sure that you are allowed to post and show to public, the entries you received before sending to WBFF for judging ? Just wondering...

hi Robert,
They are just some entries from the whole entries, without any names on them. There is nothing wrong with them I think.

Re: WBFF Photo contest 2013 for Asia Pacific region
Thanks for your respond Budi, but I think it's improper to show the entries to public before judging.
As long as I know, WBFF photo contest, BCI, JAL..and others (except some online contests) are normally a "close" contest and never published any entries before judging.
My other concern is that you are the regional coordinator and you suppose to select only 50 best entries from all you received (despite of the pre-selection process, either by yourself only or by a judges panel), by posting the entries here, you are offering a possibility to IBC members to comment and any opinion can be direct or indirectly influence your selection process and the final judging..
LOL, the participants signed the registration form to allow WBFF (!!!) to publish the entries photos, and I assume this is for after the winners announcement, and not before by the appointed regional coordinators. Keep the "secret" to the day would be more fun as well, I think.
Just a thought...

Hi Nick,
Surely Australia is not in my region. Asia Pacific region consists of South East Asia, Taiwan and Korea.
I hope some friends from Korea will soon send some pictures to budisulistyo22@gmail.com

Re: WBFF Photo contest 2013 for Asia Pacific region
Hi Nick,
Thanks a lot for your comment.
You are right that Asia Pacific consists of the countries in your list. " The Asia Pacific" I mentioned here is only the term used by WBFF in dviding the world into 9 bonsai regions.
1. Japan
2. China
3. South Asia ( India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ceylon )
4. Asia outside Japan, China and South Asia.
5. Australia and Oceania
6. Africa
7. Europe
8. North America
9. South America
Some ten years ago, due to the success of Indonesia in organizing Asia Pacific Bonsai And Suiseki Convention and Exhibition (the countries is as many as in your list), the WBFF awarded Indonesia as the leader of the 4th region Asia outside Japan, China and South Asia and named that region as Asia Pacific region.
I hope my answer will give enough clrification.

Re: WBFF Photo contest 2013 for Asia Pacific region
Thanks Budi well clarified.
So you are the co-ordinator of your region and the photos you have posted are not from your top 50 that will be submitted for further judging in early 2013.
If so the top 50 for your region must be extremely good going by the quality already displayed.
Kindest Regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,
I just take randomly from the entries. The top 50 later on is up to the judges.
