Tokoname pots
I have several Tokoname pots, glazed and unglazed with numbers on the back, besides the stamp. I understand that these numbers correspond to a "G" number, does anyone know what the "G" stands for?
Thanks,
Luis

Well, I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that the 'G' identifies the catalogue. My last version is 'F'.

Hello Luis,
Reiner has absolutely right.
These letters are internal codes.
Some japanese pottery today have their pots pottery in China, which is cheaper.
The stamp at the bottum are japanese.
Which pots this are only knowing the firm or a code under the pot.
Best regards
peter
