That is a new one for me. I would have liked to see what it looked like before digging it up. I will be equally interested in how it progresses. Perhaps one of very few in multiple pots??

Hello Pavel,
I had to take a moment to take it in.
Did this tree pushed you to do some out of the box thinking,
or is it a two box thinking??

I'd be interested to know what you are trying to achieve here. I thought originally you were trying to create a new root ball higher up the tree.

I agree with 'vev' - very funny!
Thanks for the amusement.

BTW, I also like vev's idea for when you've had enough laughs.

Thank you all for yours interesting replies.
Vev design is great and definitely possible. For now I will not continue to work with the tree. I'll only go up. If there is a suitable stone, I'll plan for next year. Wink

Pavel, somehow you seem to come across some very diverse material! I look forward to seeing what you're going to do with this one! And a very beautiful design idea vev!

Pavel,

1. I'm a big fan, and have been for a while.
2. This tree is one reason why!
3. Is wire the only thing holding the upper pot onto the tree and if so does it get top-heavy at all?

Thanks,
Jake Phillips

This is certainly one of the sillier bonsai I have seen. Vevs first virt looks like a great plan.

wow this is a very slow growing tree.......21 years since collecting hasn't given much growth, or have you cut it back very hard? . i like your solution to the roots though, rather than one big box.

Nice to see something different

thanks Marcus

Thank you guys for nice replies. Very Happy

Yes Marcus. You're right. Old original photo, unfortunately I do not. But this is a photo from 2006. In the red circle is to see it, what branches grow today.
