That would work, but with that very interesting trunk and base, you might not want to be quite so "traditional" with the top.

That is a huge Bougainvillaea!!! I agree with Jim, it has a lot more potential that that. Hope Jun comes along and give you some pointers (maybe even a virtual).

thanks Jim.. that is why I helplessly need your help guys

I think you need to see where it puts new grown and work from there. Bougies only bloom on new growth so constant pruning and regrowing is required.
