Here we go again
...I'll just buy a new sketch pad first and give it a try. hehehe.
Again Robert, the size of your material is so deceiving or that handsome guy holding it is too small.

jun

I'll take a crack at it. I need to keep practicing. Maybe in 2012 my online pals, Robert, Jun and Rob can keep posting material that we can hypothesize with. That's my word of the day....hypothesize.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Thanks for your efford and participation. The talking point is on the two contradicting line character, and they are competing at the same time...

Re: First Work of 2012
hi,
The bottom branch looks young, straight, and in comparison with the one above not as interesting - I'd cut most of it off.
The size of these trees makes me smile - we have a very similar leaved species that has natural leaves the size of your thumb nail, so these trees appear 18" tall when they are really 40"+
cheers, Marcus

Re: First Work of 2012
Jun, you got any "nice" material prepared for my demo ? and how about the materials for penjing and the tray ?

Re: First Work of 2012
It looks like the really wiggly shoot is dead, so I'd cut back the live part and regrow a canopy to frame the shorted dead part making a much smaller tree.
Then I see it at a tropical beach resort

I like both designs from pavel and Rob, very nice...
That trunk with shari is still alive up to the last terminal, the sections are dead.
I will postpone to post mine till tomorow...

Robert,
Don't worry about the nice material, We are looking all over the Philippines for a very difficult material. be ready!
As for the penjing we will be preparing 5 rocks of different sizes, for you to choose from.
regards,
jun
BTW, Are you sure you still want a foliage drawn for the material above? That's a lot of clue you have given us.

For penjing, I assume you have prepared the tray as well..and please don't forget the green moss. Can't wait....
Yes, I want to see how you guys gonna set the foliage...
