I need help, making a photomontage.....?
Hello friends of IBC,I have this juniper, juniperus sabina. we did a first design.
I want to transplant next spring. My idea is a round pot for cascade.
The problem is the peculiar tachagary, this round pot i think is the solution,
round pot kengai without border. But is very difficult chose and found this pot.
Please I need your opinion. If anyone knows how to do photomontage would be helpful.

Re: I need help, making a photomontage.....?
Hi! Im not much a help here. But I think this tree is so wide, that Im thinking it might be "better" with one of those "moon" pots. I dont know what they call it. Those that go slightly over the top of the tree. Someone can possible come with a better description of this.
The pots that you linked are very nice, but I feel they would be too narrow and tall, for this tree.
Just my honest opinion.

Salva, can you give us a picture of the tree in its current pot please. Also an indication of size would be good.
Can I also ask: when you mention tachagary (tachiagari?) are you talking about the trunk movement at the bend back of the branch or the way the trunk comes away from the roots?
Kurama I had to google. Didn't know that those type of bonsai containers had a collective name.
Always a danger with using technical terms.

Hi Fiona, in this moment i haven't actual picture, now the pot is traditional crop pot, isn't a bonsai pot. Yes tachiagari
ovement of the trunk that goes from the rootbase (nebari) up to the first branch, I said that because the trunk touches the rim of the pot.
not be planted in a kurama, because frecuently the kurama is not deep, and for my tree i need a deep pot, for balance first, and second because gravity in a kengai tree is stronger and can take down the tree.
Dimensions are 5cm nebari
35cm large.
Kurama in google : Kurama bonsai pot:

I asked for help in this post , front people who can reduce the size of the images of the pots and can make a montage with the tree to see the result.
P.D. i try to explain my idea with my poor English.
Thank's and regards.

Yup, that's why we needed to know the size of the tree - otherwise the photoshopped images might be misleading.Salva wrote: I asked for help in this post , front people who can reduce the size of the images of the pots and can make a montage with the tree to see the result.
