two trees, help with pots

Hi IBC freinds

I need some pot advice for these two trees, Im a rookie so all critique is welcome.
This first tree is some sort of mesquite local name is "Kiawe" I think its called prospis pallida? Sam can help.
I dont like this pot and it needs to be shifted to the left some, I was thinking maybe a subtle oval? your thoughts.



The next tree is a juniper ive been working on, I think it needs a little more depth so im trying to grow out more back branches, in the meantime
I was think about a deeper sqaure or slightly rectangle?

Wow that is just about exactly what I was thinking, I didnt think about one so wide and thin but I think its perfect
now to find the pot! Lucky me our club xmas party is coming up!
