Re: Ancient Temple
Hi NTL... I continue to be intrigued by your stones representing religious buildings (e.g., temple, pagoda) placed atop a wood seat that suggests a stepped, sometimes-railed platform ascended and by a centered, processional ramp and/or steps. At the top of the steps, a small white figurine backed by a flaming aureola is sometimes placed. What does it mean to you? Are these arrangements common for display among stone collectors in your area?

how I see
I two agree,
My friend your stone, tree, scroll and table are beautiful.
Very nice together as show display!
But stone comes first, Very, very powerful!,
has no needs, remove everything else.
Simpler(plain)stand, can see stone first.
offer my friendly opinion only,
maybe can see stone topic a little different,
Stone is Masterpiece...

Re: Ancient Temple
Hello Nguyen Thai Ly,
I do not understand your answer on the post of Chris Cocchrane, (maybe because of the translation).
This stone reminds me of the union of spirit, soul and body.
the upper pyramid like part, spirit
middle part, soul
lower, part body.
The figure you placed on the lower level represents that thought,
also the fact that the whole is placed on top of the seven levels of the path.
The tree of life ads to all of this.
Thank you for showing your personal appreciation of this stone,
it is always refreshing to see and learn from each other.
I hope i understand your approach to this stone.
In my humble personal appreciation i think i would use the suggestion of Stonener
and maybe place instead of the figure a evocative stone.
I would do this because the bare simplicity would give me more freedom to meditate on it.
Regards, Sunip
