Just like to say a special thanks to Chris. The third virtual inspired me so much I just couldn't wait until winter. You were also right about the slight change of angle. Viewed from a 45 degree angle closes the large gap created from the removal of the third trunk. Thanks for all your comments.

I was going to suggest that you to think about it for a while before cutting out that trunk - like over the winter! But I'm glad I was able to inspire you (wish I could do that for my own trees!) It looks pretty good to me and I hope you keep us posted as the tree(s) develops.

One thing I find interesting is that the second trunk has more of a curve from this view - it looked much straighter in the original photo. How tall is that second tree?

Hi Chris. Sometimes it’s hard to find inspiration, just got to try and look at them as critically as you would other peoples. You obviously have an eye for it. Should really have waited as Lonicera heels better when cut in winter but there’re virtually bomb proof so should be ok. The tree at its highest is 40cm. Thanks again for the advice.
