DriWater Gel
Has anyone had experience using a product called DriWater (Gel)....I have researched it and it appears to be useful when not being able to water for a few days at a time. I would appreciate any input. Thank you.

I have not tried the product, but the ones I have seen required mixing in the soil, so they would be more than a temporary fix.

Thanks, Billy....from my internet search the product evidently comes in a gel pack (kind of looks like a sausage). You are supposed to slit it lengthwise and then place the open end onto the soil surface after thoroughly watering the plant.

I looked it up. It is precisely intended for vacation, illness, or similar situations, or a summer arrangement for plants that need continuous moisture. It is not the same as acrylamide crystals that you mix in the potting medium.
However, it depends on soil micro-organisms to gradually convert the organic gel to liquid water. It should work in potting soil, but I don't think it will work in bonsai potting mix.
