Re: Noob here, my pots
Thank you Peter and John,
Tat yellow pot was my first attempt at using porcelain, it was eerily smooth feeling after throwing with grogged clays exclusively. I only wish I would have made feet for that pot similar to the ones on this orchid container.

Nice pots Keith.
I really dig that surface/glaze treatment on the last pot. Very nice!

The 4" round and 3" square are amazing pots. Will you be making more like this?

Thank you Andy and Peter! Photography is my other hobby, trying to create a little visual interest with that image.
HR,
I'll make more, these go in cycles. The square is handbuilt and do most of that during the winter since my wheel is outside

Hello Kitoi,
beautiful pots and photos.
You can even come to me in the winter and outdoor pottery
fun at about 25 ° C minus, does it.

Dear Kitoi
Very wonderfull pot !!!!!!!!
The angular shape combined with the crackle is wonderfull.
Also i like the lines , shown on the second picture ,
from the feet to the upper rim.
It is as just the extra finishing touch in the design !
I enjoy seeing Your work.
Kind regards
Morea

Hi Kitoi
Love the form and glaze on your last pot, super!
I read an article the other day on "The Golden Ratio" and how it applies to art and especially photography. Now I understand how and why you have taken the photographs the way you have and why they are pleasing to the eye and work so well. Something I aim to try myself when I photograph my pots in the future.
Kind regards
Andy

Noob here, my pots
Hello To All, This is my first post on this forum.
I've been a hobby pottress for about 6 years now.
This is a wonderful forum, you are all very kind to
each other and offer constructive criticism.
The Pots are stunning! I visit the site to enjoy
all the planting, pruning, etc. and especially
your own pots, both professional and hobbyists.
Thank you for bringing a pleasant ritual to my day.
Judy
if I get a pretty pot out of the next kiln load from school
I will post it for critique.

Re: Noob here, my pots
Hello, Judy. Although I see you've been a member for some months now, as this is your first "official" post, may we say welcome to the forum. I'm glad you have derived so much enjoyment from what you've seen so far, and it s nice to know that in the eyes of onlookers the forum provides such good information, advice and support and does so in a pleasant manner. We do rather pride ourselves on not showing any professional jealousy here.
In light of that, please don't be shy in posting some of your own work. Several newcomers have used the forum as a way of launching their work into the public view - mostly because they recognise that they will get positive feedback intended to help rather than hinder. Please feel free to start a thread featuring your work.
Look forward to hearing/seeing more of you.
Regards
Fiona
