Japanese Bonsai Pots
Hello all,
I'd like to invite everyone to stop by a new blog featuring Japanese and Antique Chinese Bonsai pots by both famous and lesser known potters, from the collections of Japanese Bonsai Nurseries, American and Japanese collectors, and my humble self.

Re: Japanese Bonsai Pots
Wonderful, Ryan, thanks a lot!
If I may offer one suggestion it would be to showcase some current potters too. For instance, the Kataoka family that creates the Yamaaki pots. Who uses what chop, and what are the time periods associated with them? These rare and antique pots are exciting to learn about (for me anyway), but I have plenty of questions about the meat-and-potato potters too.
Anyway, just a thought. I'm eager to see where you take this.

Russell,
Thanks a lot fir your reply. I definitely intend to cover modern potters, and meat an potatoes guys.
I'm already looking for top shelf examples of some I don't own to post.
Just for reference, the Yamaaki chiefs are Juuodo Shosen(Katoaka Akitsugu), Koshosen(K. Sadamitsu) and Katoaka Toshio. Time periods, I'm not so sure of, stamps, I'll post that on the blog eventually.
Other contemporary potters I intend to cover, off the top of my head, are Kosen, Ikkou, Togen, Haruyoshi, Tani Ranzan, Kouyo, Bahnryuhei, Zyubei, Ect....
Thanks for the interest, I ve been wanting to crank this up for a while...I actually started the wordpress acct a few months ago.
