Re: Pot for Satsuki ?
I think a pale red glaze with a fairly ornate design to frame what is very complex tree.
I don't have a pot to show you. I can see something in my head, but I am not an artist.

What don't you like about the pot it's in? I really like the shape of this with your tree, and the depth is good. The color of the pots Gwyther suggested is beautiful, but I think the first is way to chunky and the second is far too shallow for a happy satsuki (but you already know that).

Hello Russell,
Thank's
In fact, you are right, but I wondered if a pot of color would not be appropriate better.
It is for that reason that I ask for opinions.
Perhaps a pot of gray color, I do not know, I seek the good idea.

I agree and would prefer a combination of both; i think, a oval pot will better fit the movement of the trunk of your azalea, but i would choose it with a glaze, Vic voted.

Re: Pot for Satsuki ?
Can I offer my two cents?
I really like the brown colored (unglazed) pot that the tree now sits in. In this photograph, the brown (pot) works very well with the dark cream colored trunk, and foliage. The bloom color is very lovely, but not so strong, like a deep red or fuschia. Because of this, I don't recommend a blue pot.
So, here goes...
How about Peter's traditional soft rectangle shape, with the cream colored glaze on a dark brown clay body, like in the second pot? If it were mine, that is what I would do. That shape really would really helps to frame that trunk, and the profile of it from the side complements the s curve of the trunk too.
Cool tree...

I also like the pot it is in now, but Peter's second suggestion is a good match too!
