Re: MY CHINESE ELM UPDATE
Very nice Ogi, just another year and this would be a very refined tree. How big is it?

Ogi,
Great Work. Judging by its good health, when you remove the pot extension, the nebari will have achieved balance.
Keep them coming,
Jose Luis

Hey Ogi,
Nice tree and good to see the work you have done on the tree. On the photos through, it'd have been better to have taken a photo from a distance to show the tree completely with a bit of empty spaces all around it for perspective and better framing. Would you want to take the trouble???? I am sure this would show the tree in a much better perspective....
Regards
Ravi

Re: MY CHINESE ELM UPDATE
Ogi,
At the moment, I do not have chinese elms. Several years ago, I had plenty. I now have Zelkova serrata, var. Tarokoensis (Taiwanese Zelkova). The leaf is abit bigger, flat and displays beautiful spring leaves.
Maybe I should get a new chinese elm. In the 12th Taiwan Bonsai Creators exhibition, I saw a great chinese elm, with delicate twigs. As you know, achieving this is a bit difficult.
Again, great tree!
Your friend,
Jose Luis

Re: MY CHINESE ELM UPDATE
Hello,
Your tree has a beautiful elm tree base. I'd use the method of Lingnan "grow& clip" to shape its fine ramification, as you have a local suitable for this technique.

giang
